Professionally I have worked with a LAMP stack to carry out my duties for my role as a web developer. I have also used Laravel as my main mvc framework, followed by Vue for the front-end with mysql as to query the database..

Backend Development

Backend Development

My strength is within the backend of web development, i've produced websites professionally with PHP and Laravel professionally. I've used PHP Unit Tests within test driven development environments as well as following agile methodology. Privately I have used nosql with MongoDB for personal projects as well as express nodejs as demonstrated below in my portfolio samples.

About Me

About Me

I am Tashfin Shahid a FullStack Developer, it is my ambition to become a lead developer and to architect complex systems from the ground up. I stumbled into programming from building a simple website for the Pool society to organise, coordinate and document the clubs history. I achieved this with wordpress at the time when it was introduced and my prior experience from passion was built from using adobe dreamweaver to do web design. After I had published the website and sharpened my understanding of web design I learnt from my own research about web development, this then further brought my attention to attaining a degree in computer science in which i achieved a masters in.

Frontend Development

Frontend Development

On the frontend I am proficient with HTML, CSS and Javascript. In relation to css frameworks I have used bootstrap and tailwind professionally, on the other hand with SCSS I have used it with personal projects. With Javascript focused frameworks I have used React for personal projects and still learning the framework to mastery, privately.

Junior Web Developer

Insurance Collections Bureau

I develop and engineer database management systems within an agile environment. I’ve developed and engineered software through technologies such as PHP as the main language for back-end development with object-oriented design at the forefront. I specialised in utilising a lamp stack with every project with Laravel, JavaScript, bootstrap in a homestead environment which works similarly like docker as my ci/cd platform. For the front-end I used HTML, CSS and Javascript with webpack as my compiler for JavaScript and scss for css.

Swift Developer

Racefully

I added further features to an existing app for Racefully, which will enable the end user to track their running sessions through a Bluetooth connection via the treadmill.
Chris Pointon

As part of his Master's, Tashfin prototyped an integration between Racefully and a running machine. This involved him learning Swift and getting familiar with Xcode, as well as working out how to use a poorly-documented SDK for the running machine. He showed great perseverance and got the prototype built within the time limits for the project.
